In April 2024, the annual Mrs South Africa Ladies Breakfast held at Emperors Palace marked a significant occasion blending beauty, charity, and empowerment. With nearly 1000 attendees, it has become a premier national event for the pageant season’s first half.

During the event, the semi-finalists of the Mrs South Africa class of 2024 shared their inspiring journeys with their loved ones, introducing them to the Mrs South Africa program and its supportive sisterhood. Each contestant received recognition on stage, celebrating their courage and determination in embarking on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.

A highlight of the day was the presentation of funds raised by the previous year’s finalists for the official Mrs South Africa affiliated charities. The 30 finalists raised a total of R420,000 for organizations such as CANSA, FAMPRO, and SAACA, setting a benchmark for this year’s semi-finalists to exceed.

Guests also contributed by donating sanitary pads for girls in need, with over 700 packs collected for the Winnie Mabaso Foundation, supporting vulnerable children affected by HIV.

The event featured a surprise fashion show by local designers Gerrit Pienaar, Tienie Boshoff, and Belle Togs, showcasing the talent within South Africa’s fashion industry. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with Mrs South Africa’s partners and sponsors, including PR Worx, Brentoni Eyewear, Dyson, and Krispy Kreme, among others.

Cathy Heaton was announced as the Mrs Globe Classique South Africa, representing the country at the Mrs Globe Classique in California, USA.
