Johannesburg, South Africa – YFM, the pioneering commercial radio station renowned for its commitment to nurturing emerging talent and pushing the boundaries of traditional broadcasting, is proud to unveil its highly anticipated 2024 lineup, commencing on April 2nd.

Building upon its groundbreaking initiatives of the past year, YFM continues to soar in the market, not only witnessing significant growth in listenership but also garnering a remarkably positive brand reputation.

Reflecting on the station’s journey, Y’s Managing Director, Haseena Cassim, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “In line with Y’s bold spirit, we overhauled our lineup last year, and the results were outstanding. The 2024/2025 lineup amplifies our winning formula, introducing exciting new voices to our platforms.”

Kicking off weekday mornings, Nia Brown, Mthaux, and Okay Wasabi return to host “The Way Up” from 05:00 to 09:00. Xtremme continues to captivate and empower listeners with “Morning Break” from 09:00 to 12:00. “The Lunch League,” helmed by Lula Odiba and Caddy, retains its stronghold from 12:00 to 15:00. Ayanda MVP remains at the helm for the afternoon drive on “Home Run” from 15:00 to 18:00. Supta keeps listeners engaged with “Unlocked” Monday to Thursday from 19:00 to 22:00, introducing new dimensions to the 8 pm talk hour.

Weekends usher in fresh voices, with Tulz Madala leading “Kickstart Café” on Saturdays and “Sunday Feels” on Sundays from 06:00 to 10:00. TV presenter and model Shamiso Mosaka joins the lineup with “The Rizz” on Saturday afternoons, promising a fusion of global music that transcends borders.

YFM welcomes innovator Cesare “Hype” Morey, who hosts “Hype Factory” on Friday evenings, showcasing the best of the global dance music scene. Additionally, runner-up of #BeTheNext Season 2, Sizwe Mngomezulu, takes over the Saturday and Sunday 00:00 – 02:00 timeslot on “The Wave.”

As the station bids farewell to OG Samke, Y remains committed to unearthing new talent and providing opportunities for aspiring on-air personalities on the Playground slot, ensuring a continuous influx of fresh energy to enrich the listening experience.
